“Pulau Gadang in Kampar – Riau and Lubang Kolam”

I am Ayu Azhari. I lived  in Pulau Gadang. Pulau Gadang is located in west of Kabupaten Kampar in XIII Koto Kampar directly adjacent to Negeri 50 Kota of West Sumatera. Pulau Gadang known as “ Kampung Patin”. Why? Because is there are so many ‘ ikan patin’. There are two villages like Koto Mesjid and Pulau Gadang. While the location of where I live in the village of Pulau Gadang. My house across the street and adjacent to a mosque, schools and health center. I live in an enviroment that is peaceful and friendly neighbors. My house is also surrounded by a fish pond but unfortunately does not belong to my family but to the Pulau Gadang village. Pulau Gadang village in identical with Ikan Patin. This is the characteristic of the Pulau Gadang. If a fish is in some foods such as chackers, meatballs,nugget and sala, most known is salai ikan patin. Not only typical foods.

Pulau gadang also has several attractions that can be visited by the public, one of which is “Lubang Kolam”. This is a relic of the Dutch colonial. Lubang Kolam is crowded all visitors. Visitors came from various cities. In the Lubang Kolam we can see the beauty of the lake that has been available. We can also see a large hole once it is a transportation line linking Riau-West Sumatera.

               If you want to go to Riau dont forget to visit the “ Lubang Kolam”, the beautiful place to visit and you will not be bored to go back again to place.
